Valentine's Day in Japanese style



 

日本にほんでは、女性じょせいが男性だんせいにバレンタインのプレゼントをあげます。
あげるものは、チョコレートが多おおいです。

 

2月がつ14日にちはバレンタインです。

日本にほんには独特どくとくのバレンタインの文化ぶんかがあります。

 

男性だんせいが女性じょせいにロマンチックなプレゼントをするヨーロッパなどとは逆ぎゃくで、

女性じょせいから男性だんせいにチョコレートをプレゼントする習慣しゅうかんがあります。

 

学校がっこうに行いく前まえの小ちいさな女の子おんな　こも、お友達ともだちや男の子おとこ　こにバレンタインのチョコレートを渡わたしたりします。 

チョコレートをもらった男性だんせいは、3月14日がつ　にちの「ホワイト・デー」に、バレンタインのお礼れいでお菓子かしなどのプレゼントをします。

 

 

子こどもが小ちいさいときは、、女の子おんな　このママも、男の子おとこ　このママも大変たいへんです

 

女の子おんな　このママ：チョコレートを用意よういしたり、男の子おとこ　このママに連絡れんらくをしたり、手伝てつだってあげないといけません！

 

チョコレート以外いがいのお菓子かしを渡す子わた　こもいます。

クッキーやブラウニーなど、手作てづくりのものが多おおいです。

もちろん手作てづくりでなくても良よいのですが、特とくにちいさな子は、「つくりたい！」と思う子おも　こが多おおいです。

それをかわいいラッピングに入いれたりするので、お母かあさんの手伝てつだいが必要ひつようです。

100均きんのお店みせは、いろいろなラッピンググッズも売り出う　だします。


男の子おとこ　このママ：男の子おとこ　こと一緒いっしょに、チョコレートをくれた女の子おんな　こに「ホワイト・デー」のプレゼントを用意よういしたりします。

それに、男の子おとこ　こがみんなバレンタインのプレゼントをもらえるわけではありません。
それもあって、夫おっとと息子むすこのために必かならずバレンタインのプレゼントを用意よういするママも多おおいです。

 

小ちいさな子こがおかし作づくりをする動画どうがです。こういうものなら小ちいさな子こもいっしょにつくれるかもしれません。

 

 

バレンタインのチョコレートには、いろいろな種類しゅるい・意味いみがあります。

  • 「友ともチョコ」
    「友とも」＝「友達」用ともだち ようという意味いみです。男性・女性だんせい　じょせいかまわず、お友達ともだちにあげます。
  • 「本命ほんめいチョコ」
    本当ほんとうに好すきな人ひとにあげるチョコレート。一番高価いちばんこうかだったり、心こころがこもっています。
  • 「義理ぎりチョコ」
    礼儀、義理れいぎ　ぎりであげるチョコレート。仕事関係の人しごとかんけい　ひとなどにあげます。

 

 保育園・幼稚園ほいくえん　ようちえんや学校がっこうにバレンタインのプレゼントを持もって行いってはダメです。

子こどもたちは、バレンタインのプレゼントは保育園・幼稚園・学校ほいくえん　ようちえん　がっこうに持もってきてはいけないと言いわれています。
だから、友達ともだちや男の子に渡おとこ　こ　わたすタイミングをみつけるのが大変たいへんです。

 

たのしい、季節きせつのイベントになりますように！
ママたちは、自分用じぶんようにチョコを買かうのも良よいかもしれません : )

 

Valentine's Day in Japanese style


 

In Japan,  women give chocolates to men on St. Valentines Day.

After Setsubun is Valentine’s Day on February 14, and Japan has its own traditions and customs.

Valentine’s Day is a day when women give chocolates to men in their lives, so the role is reverse to that of the Europe and others.

The chocolates are given from young age, and some may start giving chocolates to friends and boys

from before they start school.
The favor is returned back on White Day, a month later on March 14, when men are encouraged to give gifts
back to women who treated them on Valentine’s Day.


When they are small - parents' (mostly moms :( )  help is greatly needed!

If you have a daughter; 

You may need to help prepare the chocolates, which are often homemade, like baked cookies, brownies, truffles, 

and decorated chocolates, and wrapped nicely and put in cute small bags - we can find many at 100 yen shops.

 

If you have a son;

You may need to help prepare some return gifts for White Day (14 March).
And - in truth, it’s a day of excitement for boys if they receive a chocolate, but not so for boys who didn’t get one. 
Many moms tend to prepare Valentine’s chocolate for their husband and son(s), so they would at least get one!

There are different types of chocolates to give;

  • "Tomo-choco "
    "Tomo" stands for tomodachi = friends, girls or boys, so this kind of chocolate means "chocolate for friends".
  • "Honmei choco"
    This means chocolate given to who you really like or love - most costly or prepared with most love.
  • "Giri-choco"
    "Giri" meaning out of courtesy or obligation, usually given to colleagues or bosses.

 

"Do not bring Valentine's Day gifts to schools"

Kids are told not to bring Valentine’s Day gifts to schools, so they try to find the right timing to

give to their friends or to boys that they like.

Hope many will have fun with this seasonal event - for that, why not prepare some special chocolates for ourselves :)
